The Longhorns kept their winning streak alive with wins over UTSA and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday, defeating the Roadrunners 6-1 in the first match and the Islanders 4-0 in the second, to move to 6–0 on the season.
The eighth-ranked Longhorn men’s tennis team opened the year up at home with a dominating 6–1 victory over SMU — its 18th-straight win over the in-state rival Mustangs — and moved to 2–0 on the season.
Texas continued its dominance this fall at the ITA Texas Regional Championships over the last week, where the Longhorns earned titles in both the singles and doubles tournaments. Sisgaard and Ito fought for the number one spot in this tournament.
The junior captured the title Sunday morning after defeating Michaela Bayerlova of the Czech Republic. With the victory, Turati now holds three ITF pro circuit singles championship titles, all from this year.
