A couple semesters after radio-television-film seniors Kelsey Hockmuller and Olivia Biehle met outside a professor’s office for the first time, Hockmuller knew it was time to take her relationship with Biehle to the next level — so she popped the question.
Universal Studios’ “Seventh Son,” a fantasy film by Sergei Bodrov, boasts gorgeous vistas, a couple of action scenes and A-list performers, such as Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore. Unfortunately, “Son” is totally devoid of humanity.
In “Jupiter Ascending,” released Friday, directors Andy and Lana Wachowski attempt to combine a space opera, an action-adventure spectacle and political power struggle into one epic film. Instead, they cram three separate stories into one mediocre and confusing movie.
