• Deep Eddy Mural Project

    Jeff Seckar-Martinez, an Austin High School art teacher, and Liz Sibley, director of a Montessori school in Alpine, work on the Deep Eddy Mural Project on Wednesday afternoon. The mural has been in the planning and fund raising stage for the last five years and should be completed in mid-July.

    A protester rallies against the approval of Senate Bill 9, a sanctuary cities legislation, on the front steps of the Texas Capital Wednesday. The bill, which passed after a 19-12 vote, cuts resources to local governments that prevent law enforcement to investigate immigration statuses.
